Team CitiStat

A Force to be Reckoned With

During an eight month long capstone project, Team CitiStat, consisting of five HCI Masters students at Carnegie Mellon University were faced with the challenge of supporting the City of Pittsburgh's CitiStat initiative by improving their current process of data analysis and performance tracking.

Through a rigorous process of research, iterative design, and user testing, we created MetroViz, a data visualization application designed to increase efficiency and eliminate redundancy in entering and analyzing city data for the Department of Public Works. This website outlines the user-centered design approach we followed as well as highlights the details of our implentation process and final deliverable.
