In order to gain a better understanding of our target users, we began our design process with background user research. We started by interviewing members of our target demographic and observing them in their homes, the context our design will address. We also gathered information about products that are currently being marketed to this group by visiting several retail stores and immersing ourselves in media directed towards our targets.
